Product Description

UV radiation crosslinking polyethylene technology is a word wide invention for cable insulation manufacture after peroxide crosslinking, silane crosslinking and electron beam radiation crosslinking. Based on the fundamental research of fast crosslinking of polyethylene using UV radiation by Sweden professor Bengt Ranby, Professor Qu Baojun from China university of science and technology made great effort to use this technology in cable manufacture during 90' last century. The technology was not spread fast because of limitation of UV light source technology at that time.
Eight years before, Harbin Hapro Electric technology company China started the development activity of high efficiency UV radiation system directed by professor Zhao Hong from Harbin university of science and technology China. At the beginning, UVI,UVII type radiation system based on traditional transformers and capacitors driven mercury lamp gained one time higher efficiency compare the old one. Later on in 2013, They developed UVE-I,UVE-II type electronic device driven mercury lamp system continuously improve the efficiency 0.7 time higher than the former. Recently a revolutionary change takes place. UV-LED has been used in the radiation system. The new system named UVL-I type. Compare to electronic device driven lamp system, it has 4 times efficiency. New technology must push the UV radiation crosslinking cable manufacture move forward.

UV radiation crosslinking polyolefin is a UV energy base crosslinking technology. The light initiator became a free radical by absorb energy from UV light, and the free radical transform energy to multi-functional crosslinking agent, the multi-functional crosslinking agent initiate polyolefin molecular radical and form the 3D crosslinking network of polyolefin molecule.  Generally polyolefin materials are transparent because of heating needed by extrusion. UV energy can easily penetrate in the bulk of the materials and make the crosslinking efficiently. The wave length of the UV radiation is longer than 360nm. The light energy is not harmful to materials and human body(if not direct radiation) and no Oz generated. The radiation system is suitable for crosslinking polyolefin   made cable insulation, tube, extruding profile.
