1 Main Products introduction
1.1 The Principle of Mixer
The measuring principle is based on making visible the resistance the sample material opposes to
the rotating rotors. High-speed hot shearing provided by a pair of counter-rotating rotor in the mixer chamber made the material plasticizing from solid to melt.The corresponding torque moves a dynamo-meter out of its zero position .
In compliance with the existing standards and test specifications, a typical ' Rheogram ' (torque and temperature vs. time) is recorded for each sample material. We can analyse the structural changes of the material by the rheogram ,which shows the relationship between torque (viscosity) and temperature / time . The measured data can be displayed and stored numerically as a txt or excel file to further analysis during the measurement .
1.2 The Application of Torque Rheometer

2 System Components and Specifications
RM-200C Torque Rheometer System consist of a main unit and function units,generally assembled by block models.The Main unit connects the other units to constitute the Mixer, Single Screw Extrusion unit, Conical Twin-screw Extrusion unit, Parallel Twin-screw Extrusion unit, Rubber Extrusion unit and downstream auxiliary equipment ,e.g. Laboratory Film Blowing Machine, Laboratory Film Casting Machine, Laboratory Film Calender Machine,Wire coating machine, Two-Roll Mills, Platen Presses, Film Quality Inspection System, Pelletizer, Sample cutter etc. System can not only simulate actual process of polymer, evaluate machining performance, optimize process parameters, but also completing simulation experiment to match different die heads .
2.1 Main Unit
Main unit adopts the servo system imported from German, The heart of the Torque Rehometer is the fully digital 5.0 kW motor which ensures full torque of 190/240/320 NM over the entire speed range of 0.1 r/ min to 150/200/250 r/min. The inverter drive provides for precise and constant speed for functional units. Further more, a torque measurement is integrated. All important control data( e.g. temperature, pressure, speed, torque ) can be read on the computer . The output torque which reflects the viscosity changes to characterize the melt rheological properties.
The Main unit connected with a function unit can measure flow and compounding behaviors, critical processing parameters of temperature, pressure, torque and viscosity of polymers in the laboratory-requiring only small sample volume. The instrument, which is designed to a excellent system with high measuring precision, handling flexibility and testing reproducibility, has been widely used in science research, quality control and process experiment.

2.2 Parallel Twin-screw Extrusion unit:
Parallel twin screw extrusion unit (co rotating), widely used in rubber and engineering resin blends, dispersion, modification, enhancement, chlorinated polypropylene and high water absorbing resin devolatilization, Biodegradable master batch,polycondensation of polyamide, polyurethane addition polymerization reaction extrusion; carbon powder, magnetic powder pelletizing; cable insulation material, sheath material,low smoke and low halogen flame retardant PVC cable and all kinds of silane cross-linking material preparation, etc. Dedicated to the extrusion forming process, for example the pelletizing experiment.
Parallel twin screw extrusion unit (counter rotating ) used in PVC resin forming process experiment , such as extruding sheet, pipe, and granulation.
Parallel Twin-screw platform is consist of the Drive device, Feeding device, Barrel ,Twin-screw and Dies parts, etc. The Twin-screw is the heart of the extruder, divided into the charging section (solid conveying zone), compression section(melting zone) and the homogenization section (the melt conveying zone) three parts. Put the material into the hopper ,under the action of a rotating screw, material was pushed on to direction of the nose. Material endures strong shear, mixing and calendaring in the barrel, In this process, Meanwhile, the physical states of material the evolve from glass state to the high elastic state ,eventually become sticky flow pattern .
- Drive device
It is mainly used to complete the plastic plasticizing and transportation by uniform rotation for torque setting, Servo motor control screw torque, pre-set torque from touch-screen.
Feeding device
Conical Twin-screw platform adopts screw metering feeding device. According to the properties of material production and processing technology conditions, adjust the volume of feed speed and extrusion in order to achieve the balance.
Barrel and Screw
Barrel contains materials and screw. The twin-screw is the heart of the extruder, divided into the charging section (solid conveying zone), compression section(melting zone) and the homogenization section (the melt conveying zone) three parts. Put the material into the hopper ,under the action of a rotating screw, material was pushed on to direction of the nose. Material endures strong shear, mixing and calendaring in the barrel, In this process, Meanwhile, the physical states of material the evolve from glass state to the high elastic state ,eventually become sticky flow pattern .Because of its rotation, the powder or particle shape plastic was pushed to the former, so as to achieve compaction, melting and mixing purpose of homogenization,
Die
Mounting and interchanging of the die heads at the extruder is very easy: just fix them with the ring nut at the extruder barrel. The die heads are made of extremely corrosion-resistant steel and are heated electrically in the standard version ,and can be disassembled for cleaning. Various die heads are available for specific measuring tasks.For example ,It is mainly used in extruding and
forming plate, sheet, film, profile, and granulator etc.
